Holy Week Church Schedule:

3/28/24 Maundy Thursday Communion service 7pm at the Lake Sunapee United Methodist Church. The sermon will be on “What Love Does”, based on John 13.

3/29/24 Good Friday 12pm Cross Walk takes place in Newport. It begins at the Catholic Church and moves on to the Church of the Epiphany, the Baptist Church, Church of the Good Shepherd, and then South Congregational Church. There are readings at each stop in the church sanctuary. There is also lunch at the South Church.

At 7pm on Good Friday there is a service at the Grantham United Methodist Church. It will be a service of readings from Mark’s gospel interspersed with hymns.

On Sunday, 3/31/24, we will celebrate the wonder of Easter together with Holy Communion.

We are located near the town common at 9 Park Street, next to the U.S. Post Office. Parking is available in front of the church and in the adjacent Sullivan County parking lot. Our vestry building has a handicap accessible ramp.

Our Annual Church Fair held on the Common in Newport, NH on September 23, 2023, was a big success! We are very grateful for the vendors, generous donations, hardworking volunteers and the talented Cruizin’ band and Joe Jennings JJ’s Music!

Our enemies will die, as the dew does in the sunshine, and we, too, brothers, we’ll live happily in our land.

We’ll not spare either our souls or bodies to get freedom, and we’ll prove that we brothers are of Kozak kin,

We celebrate communion on the first Sunday of every month.

Our Sunday School area is also a place for fellowship and special events too!

Children are always welcome.
